We’re very easy to find...
so what’s stopping you?
The town of Hopfgarten, where the Sportresort Hohe Salve is located, is not far from the Wörgl Ost motorway junction, making it easy to get to by car. But remember that Austria has a vignette road tax. The following are directions via the main routes to us. Would you like more detailed directions? Then simply click on our flag on the map above and plan your route.
FROM AUSTRIA VIA SALZBURG
If you’re on the A1 or the A10, take the
Salzburg West exit and head
for the German border. Once in Germany the road becomes the A8 – continue as far as the Bad Reichenhall exit.
Turn off onto the B 21, and follow this road beyond Bad Reichenhall towards Lofer. When you reach Lofer, turn right for Kitzbühel and go as far as St. Johann. At St. Johann, follow the signs for Brixental and continue to Hopfgarten.
From Munich, follow the A8 motorway towards Salzburg for around 56km. At the Inntal junction (“Dreieck Inntal”), turn right off the A8 onto the A93 towards Innsbruck/Kufstein. After about 25km you will reach the Austrian border, where the A93 becomes the A12. Leave the A12 at Wörgl Ost and head towards Brixental, following the signs for Hopfgarten.
FROM ITALY VIA THE BRENNER PASS
Take the A13 motorway as far as Innsbruck
and turn right onto the A12. Follow the A12 towards Salzburg/Germany.
Leave the A12 at
and head for
Brixental. At the roundabout, take the first exit and follow the signs for Hopfgarten.
Have you considered
leaving your car at home?
There’s no need to bring your car – our 4* hotel in Hopfgarten is just 150 metres from the heart of the town, right by the Hohe Salve cable car. What’s more, your guest card (which you can get free when you check in) gives you free travel on the buses between Wörgl and Kitzbühel. Now that’s what we call service!
And according the slogan "The best always comes last" we reward you if you travel by train with a free upgrade into the next room categorie (upon availability).
So - go green!
Hopfgarten has not one, but two railway stations. One is called “Berglift” and is just 5 minutes’ walk from the Sportresort.
For more information on timetables, and ÖBB and DB rail services (including luggage transport), see the Kitzbühel Alps travel guide.
You’re in luck – there are three airports near us to choose from: Innsbruck, Salzburg or Munich.
Click here for more information about these three nearby airports and transfer times. Don’t worry – it’s not a long journey.
The easiest way to get from the station or the airport to the hotel is with the Kitzbühel Alps shuttle service or with our taxi partners Laci.
Both can be booked online, and your driver will be waiting to pick you up from the airport/station on the day of your arrival. This makes arriving by train or plane less stressful.
